The owner’s guide

Luma is a small light that glows in a colour when something in your routine is due, and stays lit until you tap it. There is no account, no cloud, and no feed — which means almost everything worth knowing fits in the short guide you’re reading now.

Everything runs on the device itself. Your phone and the companion app are remote controls: reminders keep firing with the app closed, the phone off, or the internet down. The only thing Luma needs from your network is Wi-Fi for the clock and for the occasional firmware update you choose to install.

A note on honesty

This guide documents what the firmware and app actually do, including their edges and limits — the reminder cap, what a satellite misses while it’s offline, which addresses resolve and which don’t. Where a behaviour is a deliberate trade-off, the guide says so rather than papering over it.
